It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the record chasers, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batters to possess a record if never given the opportunity.

Finally, the consequence of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to produce her newest gem.

Originally famous as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory came three months after her debut and seven world titles have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India temporarily stopped the run of success.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not come up short.

If this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Some will argue the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it's been a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing at all," stated Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your fighting spirit take over and you just lock into the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her great strength - and an invaluable trait in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there the right-hander was on her way.

"The possibility to take the field and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was out Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success following win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

But while she afterwards confessed those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Victory in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
